Residential Services

Columbus Residential Services offers three options for community living. Support services are based on individual need and are provided by highly trained, caring staff. Supports can include activities of daily living, personal funds management, leisure activities, access to medical care and transportation.

Residential services are a major issue for families transitioning loved ones from home environments to more independent living situations. Columbus’s Residential Services include three levels of support that can help make this transition easier and ultimately more successful for both participants and their families:

  • Residential Homes provide family-style living and round-the-clock care for people with medical conditions or others who need specialized support.
  • Supervised Apartments encourage independence while also providing structured supervision and supports for daily living.
  • The Supported Living Program helps individuals maintain their independence by providing one-on-one hourly supports in their home.

With my severe epilepsy, I still want to be an active part of the community. For the last 25 years, Columbus has provided me the opportunity to live in my own apartment, but I know that the great staff will always work with me to make sure I can get to work, go to appointments, and enjoy a date with my boyfriend on Friday nights.”
