(Salt Lake City, UT) The Columbus Foundation Board of Trustees recently named Kristy Chambers as executive director of Columbus Community Center, a nonprofit organization that provides services for individuals with disabilities. Prior to joining Columbus, she served as CEO of Wasatch Homeless Health Care, Inc., better known as the Fourth Street Clinic. Ms. Chamber’s professional background includes public accounting and senior management positions in nonprofits, healthcare, real estate, retail, and hospitality. She graduated Cum Laude from UCLA with a degree in Economics/Business and has a Master’s in Taxation with honors from the Washington School of Law. She has been a certified public accountant for over twenty years. She has served locally and nationally on a number of boards including the Utah Nonprofit Association, National Health Care for the Homeless Council, and the Association of Utah Community Health (AUCH). She currently serves as adjunct faculty at the University of Utah Nonprofit Academy.
Columbus has served individuals with disabilities since 1968 and currently serves 450 individuals through its vocational, residential, and activity programs.
